lighthearted photographer for funky folks
Hi! I’m Nadine, I’m so glad you’re here!
I’ve been taking pictures since I was a tot rockin’ a chunky plastic monster from Kodak.
Since then, I’ve been obsessed with preserving memories and emotions as authentically as possible. It feels like magic to me because I’m the type of person who’s already nostalgic before the moment’s over. I believe good photography is about capturing life as it is; not embellishing or controlling the moment. I want you to remember the real, raw emotion of what you’re experiencing right now.
My philosophy
I feel like being a wedding photographer is simultaneously the most serious and the most unserious job in the world.
It’s DEAD SERIOUS because these photos are everything – what do people grab on their way out of a fire? Their photos. We desperately want to preserve these treasured moments – proof that love and laughter and unbridled joy exist; proof that we really, truly are LOVED for exactly who we are. This job is serious because I am the memory keeper, the historian, the documentarian, the artist, the curator, the director. I am telling your story for generations to come. I take this privilege seriously.
It’s also so unserious because HELLO my job is to show up to your party – the most spectacular, rowdy, emotional, whirlwind-y day of your life – and run around with 5 cameras dangling off of me. Then I get to go home and stare at your beautiful faces for hours and laugh and cry alongside you all over again.
When all is said and done, I’ve curated your gallery to tell your story with honesty and emotion, the result is timelessly beautiful, but not too serious. It’s that simple, and it really is insanely fun.
xo, nadine
